About

Named after my great nan Emmi (Emily) and my nan Lou (Louisa), EmmiLou Dance Academy was established in 1995 in Cheadle and 2003 in Brindley Ford.

Our aim at both studios is for students to come every week, have fun taking part in their classes and to leave happy feeling that they have achieved something. Students have the opportunity of taking examinations with bbodance (British Ballet Organization) in ballet, tap and modern and IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) in disco. We also offer classes in musical theatre, contemporary, street dance and pointe work. Every 2 years ELDA produces a spectacular show giving all students the chance to show off their talents on stage.

We feel our dance academy is a happy one, every student is just as important as the other and we aim to give everyone the same opportunities. Whilst we feel taking exams and performing in shows is a big part of dancing and helps everyone grow in confidence, not everyone will grow up wanting to be a prima ballerina or a dance teacher therefore whatever their ambition in life is, we just want all our students to be happy, enjoy what they do and be part of the ELDA family.
